How can parents and guardians help?

Because our company is volunteer run, we need parent involvement! We like to say we are “family theater”, not community theater. There is always something to do and we are always looking for parents to help.

Some things you can help with: support backstage, paint set pieces, wrangle kids, write grants, fund raise, make raffle baskets, help with costumes, and so much more!

  • To participate in our productions, email [email protected]. All shows are open to kids grades pre-k-8th. Auditions for leads are only open to grades 3rd-8th.

  • Children and families will be notified by phone by March 31st.

  • Yes! All kids grade Pre-K-8th are welcome to participate. Everyone who wants to participate in the show will get into the cast.

  • There is no out of pocket cost to participate in the show. Cast members will however be required to participate in fundraising events and sell ads to local businesses for the program book. More information will be provided about this at the first rehearsal, April 12th.

  • There will be a parent orientation meeting on Sunday April 12th from 1-2pm. At least one parent or guardian is required to attend this meeting for their child to participate. We will be providing important information for parents at that time and answering any more questions you might have.

    The first Main Cast rehearsal will be held on Sunday, April 12th after the parent meeting from 2:00-5:00pm.

  • For the Main Cast (3rd-8th grade):

    • Sundays from 2:00pm-6:00pm

    • Monday nights from 5:30-8:30pm

    • Tuesday nights from 5:30-8:30pm

    • Not all cast members will be called for all rehearsals. Rehearsal schedules will be sent out in advance.

    Littles (Pre-K-2nd Grade):

    • Sundays from 12:30-2:00pm.

    • Their first rehearsal will be Sunday, April 19th.

  • We completely understand that kids have school commitments, activities, and that late night rehearsals can be challenging. We’ve taken feedback from last year’s production into account when planning the rehearsal schedule, so not every child will be called every night.

    We know parents work, even once kids are out for summer. We want to ensure families have enough time to get home from school and work while also not keeping kids later than necessary. We have found that during the week, 3-hour rehearsal blocks are the best balance for kids to both get adequate practice and not overwork themselves.

    Additionally 90% of our crew are volunteers so we understand the challenge of heading to rehearsal straight from work. Thank you for your understanding and support in making this work for everyone involved.

  • The show will be double cast, meaning we will have two of each lead role. One cast will perform the first weekend and the other cast will perform the second weekend. When your child is not playing their lead part, they are in the ensemble.

  • The show dates are June 19th, 20th, 21st, 26th, 27th and 28th. Friday and Saturday shows will be at 7pm. Sunday shows will be at 2pm. All cast members will be in every performance.

  • A parent or guardian (over 18) is required to walk kids into the building to sign them in and out.

    Our initial rehearsal sign in/out protocol is designed so crew members can become familiar with the names and faces of everyone involved in the production. This ensures we know who is in the building and who is picking up kids at the end of the night. This process sometimes takes a while and we appreciate your patience.

    After the sign in period, the doors to the school will be locked. Anyone who arrives late to rehearsal will be required to call to be let in.

    During tech week, our sign in/out process changes slightly and will be explained closer to the show.

  • It is the parent’s responsibility to notify staff of any allergies or health conditions. It is also their responsibility to provide staff (or their child if they are old enough) with any necessary epipens, inhalers, etc.
